Networking meeting for Ukrainian refugees and people who have taken in refugees in the multi-generation house Wedemark

From 20 March onwards, the multi-generation house in Wedemark will offer a meeting for Ukrainian refugees who have accommodation in Wedemark. The meeting will be offered every second Sunday for the time being and will start at 16:00. People who have provided accommodation and would like to network with others are also cordially invited. "Being alone in a foreign country is not easy, especially when there is war in your home country," says Daniel Diedrich, director of the multi-generation house, "we have heard that there is a lack of networking opportunities, we want to offer these." The project emerged from the Wedemark-Ukraine network, which was formed to coordinate support for refugees from Ukraine and is supported voluntarily by the Committee for Municipal Partnerships. For Dunja Maaß, chair of the committee, it is important that the idea of partnership is lived out in Wedemark: "This is a special situation in which exchange and the feeling of not being alone are particularly important. We would like to support this.

The participants can decide for themselves how the meetings should take place. Diedrich explains the possibilities in the multi-generation house: "There is a training kitchen where you can cook together, several rooms and also space outside."

The event will take place under 3G rules.

Anyone who would like to provide support in relation to the refugees from Ukraine is welcome to contact the volunteer agency on 05130 97 44 511 or freiwilligenagentur@wedemark.de.
